BRIEF
We partnered with Smartwool to create a dynamic animation for their flagship 「Intraknit」collection. Our goal was simple: translate the tactile essence of merino wool into a visual language that speaks to warmth, precision, and effortless comfort.  

Using advanced 3D animation techniques, we meticulously recreated the intricate knitting process — every loop, twist, and weave unfolding in fluid motion. Close-up shots highlight the fabric’s ultra-soft texture, while subtle light interactions emphasize its breathable, second-skin quality. The result is an immersive narrative that doesn’t just showcase a product, but invites viewers to *feel* the craftsmanship.  

From seamless transitions of yarn formation to macro details of fiber density, we balanced technical accuracy with minimalist elegance. This isn’t fantasy — it’s an honest celebration of material innovation, designed to make “comfort” visible.

The camera traces the movement of a single merino wool yarn in slow motion, revealing how it transforms into three-dimensional fabric through precision knitting architecture.












In slow-motion simulation, the collar ribbing dynamically adapts on a digital knitting loom, with fiber density following a Fibonacci sequence for a seamless yet fray-proof architectural knit.
Biomimetic deformation achieved via 3Dvolumetric knitting: The fabric articulates like musculoskeletal tissue, mirroring natural motion. Under the guidance of digital knitting machines, yarns interlace in perfect order—gradually forming a collar structure that’s both supple and secure. Free from traditional stitching constraints, yet achieving a more natural fit.
